Yogurt is how I do granola. I had been using the Activia but decided to buy a tub of Dannon All Natural Vanilla and think I have a new fav. An easy lunch to take to work, the yogurt goes in the bowl first then I add some frozen blueberries. In a separate Glad container I’ll put a 1/2 cup of Everything Granola. By the time I’m ready for lunch the blueberries are softened. In goes the granola…a quick & easy, healthy lunch.

On my “to-do” list has been to do a nutritional calculation on the granola from my earlybirdcafe. It’s been pushed aside until this weekend when someone asked the info. Thanks Laura for helping me get that item crossed off the list!!! How do I figure out the nutrition? There are a number of nutrition calculators on the web. I’ve been using the one from SparkPeople.com for these. Here’s the highlights of the analysis.

Have you tried Kroger’s Low or Non Fat Vanilla? My favorite. I mix frozen strawberries and blackberries and make frozen yogurt!
I haven’t tried the Kroger brand. Since I wrote this post I actually have a NEW favorite….still love the other but am now crazy about the Greek yogurt. It has twice the protein of regular yogurts and less sugar, a great, thick, smooth texture. I will try the Kroger for Jonathan who enjoys the Everything Granola and yogurt for breakfast, afternoon or evening snack.
