Early Bird Cafe’s first month

It’s been one month since I started selling in my new shop, earlybirdcafe.etsy.com.  Last week I was one of a dozen other women who participated in a Networking Open House.  All of us had various businesses, everything from dog walking, to jewelry, handbags to monogramming, custom window designs, a day spa and cooking classes.  Paula Wardlaw opened her beautiful home for us all.  She has her own line of products, p. jolie cosmetics and is an awesome make-up artist. 

I found these place card holders at Hobby Lobby for labeling the various samples.  They also had some great bags and boxes  for packaging.  It was great to meet all the other women who are also working  on growing their businesses!  Thanks Laurel for the invite and Paula, for putting this all together!!!

So far in this first month I’ve had 20 on-line sells plus some other sales at the open house and to others, averaging close to a sale a day.  Not too bad…hoping to see this continue to grow!  Thanks to Sara, for the packaging, labels and other design help!  Thanks to the Giessens and others who continue to offer me great feedback  and encouragement, my loyal taste testers.

The number one seller has been the Fig and Walnut Energy Bars, a close second is the Everything Granola.  Tied for 3rd place is the Nutty Granola Mix and the Cherry Pecan Biscotti.  The Apricot, Date and Almond Energy Bars are a fairly new addition, similiar to the Fig and Walnut bars but sweetened with maple syrup, finished 4th.  I also had a recent special order for Gingerbread from one of my regular customers, a gift for someone.  Whether it’s a food item from the Early Bird Cafe or an item from my other shop, I love knowing that something purchased from me is a gift for someone special.
